With reference to the letter from this department of the 2nd of March, I am directed by Lord Lloyd to transmit to you a copy of a despatch from the Acting Governor of Hong Kong forwarding a statement of arms and ammunition which passed through the Colony in transit to China during the first half of 1940.

2. I am to ask that the returne enclosed in the despatch, which are forwarded in original, may be passed on after perusal to the Board of Trade and the Ministry of Economic Warfare with a request that they may be returned eventually to the Colonial Office.
